Panda Boiler Compound Paint – B is an anti-corrosive coating for internal surface of boiler drum in contact with hot water. It resists heat up to 550° C (1020° F).

Condensers, air coolers, water tanks (not for drinking). centrifugal pumps, boiler drums, chimneys, structural steel, ducting etc.

All loose mill scale and rust must be removed. Blast cleaning is recommended. If blast cleaning is not practical. Full use to be made of mechanical tools along with hand wire brushing to remove all loose rust and mill scale. Remove all other contaminants like oil, grease etc. The surface must be cleaned and dry before coating. Galvanized metal to be decreased thoroughly and acid etched before coating.

Normally no separate primer is necessary. Apply at least two coats of Panda boiler Compound Paint – B by brush or roller, working first coat well into surface. Do not apply heavy coats and avoid run or sag. This coat dries by solvent evaporation and when painting internal areas of tanks, it is advisable to allow 24 hours between coats and a minimum 24 hours after complete application to allow system to harden. Adequate areas, follow by brush application of one patch coat and one full coat every 1-2 years. Do not exceed spreading rates or film build recommended.
